VINTAGE BED LINENS BOTH IMPORTED FROM FRANCE, AND DOMESTIC!

Products are either 100% cotton muslin or in the case of the French textiles, they are metis – a mix of hemp and flax we call linen.

I also have a nice selection of white on white embroidered and/or lace embellished pillow slips. You’ll have to contact me about these as I don’t yet have them listed or even properly inventoried – that will come when my home renovations are finished and they can come out of safe storage – meanwhile I can help you with your wants and needs. I also have a huge selection of fine vintage hand embellished table linens, but that’s a whole ‘nother story – ask if you’re inclined!

Now and then I find an exceptional vintage quilt kit, and I am so excited to have acquired this one. It is a Lee Wards by Dexter #08-90541 “Pansy” vintage applique kit measuring 81×100 inches.

The first two pictures are of the kit in its original package and the other two, below, are of the various colours of pre-printed fabric and pre-made binding awaiting your cutting out and appliquing.

The above picture is a little cloudy and I will take better pictures when this vintage kit gets here in a few days – watch for the added pictures!

I have a small but devoted group of followers who collect the lovely old applique and cross stitch quilt kits that are becoming harder and harder to find. I haven’t seen many of them lately on the secondary market, but not long ago I was able to snap up this treasure when it was offered to me.

This is the Paragon “Rose Brocade” cross stitch kit, complete with the original and still sealed thread kit. This find was apparently purchased at Lee Wards and we know how long they’ve been out of business, so this is an oldy. The thread colours are absolutely luscious and the quilt top pieces are pristine. I know this one will go fast!
